Aloha, I was born and raised in Hawai'i, where I live. My father grew huge hapu'u ferns in our living room in Manoa Valley. Hapu'u is an endangered species in Hawaii. On O'ahu there are few nurseries that carry the fern. A fern costs over $100. I love hapu'u because it reminds me of small kid days, but I hesitate to buy one because I don't want to kill it. Do you think following your guide lines anyone can get their fern to do well indoors? Mahalo.
